Biography

Welcome to the wonderful site for the best PLATANITOS you’ll ever taste. (yes.. I am being biased)

Let me introduce myself, my name is Susan but everyone calls me Susie and I am part of the Lulu Family here in Miami, where the skies are blue, the sun is hot and tan lines never fade. It's true, we are not only the greatest city but hold some of, no, THE BEST plantain chips your taste buds will ever desire. I am what they call a true Miamian/ Miami Native, although I was born and raised here, I come from a Colombian family, who are also big fans (If you too work in the yummy food industry then you'll know how many times you get asked to bring some home) It's a gift and a curse. Like many Miamians, we obsess over many things, from cuban coffee to a delicious bag of platanitos.

To emphasize, just like everyone I love a good go-to-snack and for me it's always been Lulu. Growing up, in high school I played multiple sports and my go-to-snack always included a bag of Lulu Plantain Chips and a bottle of water. Balance is key people!

You may be wondering why I’m telling you all of this, well I knew these chips weren't the typical kind of greasy/ fried chips. I’ve always been a healthy and fit advocate who enjoys getting creative with my nutrition. Lulu Plantain Chips are Gluten Free AND Guilt Free, a win-win in my book! I started coming up with various ways to enjoy all the different flavors we offer by adding them to dishes or making dips to match with. So with all this said, I would like to share some of my favorite recipes that I make to pair with my all time favorite snack... Lulu Plantain Chips.
